In our beautiful rural setting in Hungerford, Berkshire, we have for the last 25 years been producing bespoke, furniture of the highest quality. Here in our purpose built workshops we design, make and finish all of our furniture ourselves. The finished units are delivered direct from our workshops to your home and fully assembled by our own trained staff.
As a company, we operate in a very traditional way, employing local craftsmen with high skill levels and using the services of local businesses wherever possible. This is backed up with a very personal 'name-not-number' customer service to ensure every aspect of your requirement is understood and accommodated.
About our furniture
Off the Shelf, from The Hungerford Bookcase Company, is a range of freestanding furniture for the rooms in your home that do not require a fully bespoke storage solution. We have designed products in standard sizes that are functional and cost effective, and because we are manufacturers of handmade bespoke furniture, made to a very high standard and quality.
Additionally because we make all our shelving and storage furniture here at our workshops we are able to offer a semi-bespoke services for those who are searching for 'just the right size' bookcase, desk, or bedroom/ hallway/shoe storage products. Please read our Terms of Business before ordering.
The Off the Shelf range is solid, hardwearing, and will stand the test of time. With the Hayward products having traditional styling with fluted pilasters and ogee cornicing and the Newtown range providing contemporary clean lines there will be something to suit every home interior.
Materials
Off the Shelf furniture is made from a combination of high quality MDF, solid wood and real wood veneer, depending on the product you choose. Real wood veneer will have a clear lacquer finish and painted units will be finished in our water based cream/white or colour matched paint. All our timber products are sourced from certified FSC suppliers.
Delivery
We can only fulfil orders within approximately 100 mile radius of our workshop. Click here to check our delivery area. We endeavour to deliver 4-6 weeks from order for standard items, bespoke furniture may take longer and a delivery time will be advised separately.
